Toby Wade

Dr. Toby Wade is co-founder and CEO of DeepVest, the agentic front office for wealth management teams.

A statistician by training, Toby has spent more than 20 years at the intersection of investing, technology and quantitative research, building investment and AI systems across equities, futures, currencies and digital assets. His career includes serving as Head of Quantitative Research at Bank of America and Head of AI/ML at Gemini, as well as roles at hedge funds spanning alpha research, portfolio management, risk and trading strategy.

Today, he brings that experience to DeepVest, where he leads the development of AI-powered technology that helps wealth management teams analyze investments, monitor portfolios and turn complex financial data into actionable insights. His approach is grounded in the belief that language models should orchestrate the work while deterministic financial engines handle the math, combining the capabilities of AI with the rigor required for fiduciary decision-making.

Toby holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the London School of Economics and an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford. His work has been featured in the Financial Times, Institutional Investor, CNBC and InvestmentNews.
